• First you're up, Then you're down. Way down.

Back from the gig, had a bite, pleased with our performance. It was our inside-Portland debut. We've been working the outskirts and suburbs honing our show, getting tighter on stage. The 'burbs are more forgiving than the townies. They can be quite critical. Which is the way it's supposed to be. Portland is a musical mecca, a hotbed of live music rivaled only by Austin, Texas. So we were quite pleased with our performance and our turn-out tonight. Then I remember the tragedy of the school shooting in Newtown, CT. The grief and pain will be a shock when I wake up in the morning and remember again. Senseless and heart wrenching. A great gig just isn't important when you have innocent children being mowed down. God keep those children and adults who lost their lives. And God keep us too.
