• Local originals in a world famous dive.

Last night the Bar Pilots played a multi-band show with some great bands. The opener was Man Hunter, a young trio that combined a great girl-powered bass and drum combo with a guy that could really shred. We took the stage next and tore through our originals. It was hard to pick a high point but we made seemless transitions for a flurry of wall-to-wall songs, packing in as many of our originals in a 45 minute set as we could. Having never played the Kenton Club, the proof was in the crowd's reaction and it was favorable. All of our tunes met with applause, and the Kenton Club clientele doesn't clap gratuitously. The Shaken Growlers took the stage next. Turns out Vince had toured alongside these guys extensively. This Seattle-based rock 'n roll trio dress like surfer boys and play like f'n rockstars. Super funny segues too. Finally Los Perros Olvidados (the forgotten dogs), led by Joshua James Huff, took the stage hostage for some high powered Mexi-rock. We all closed the place down about 2am in a big reunion of friendships built over the years on the road and made new pals too. Apologies to the neighbors for partying too hard and too loud. Special thanks to the staff for keeping us fed and hydrated and to Joshua James Huff for producing this show.
